The First Weekly "Kelly-day!"

I seemed to have reached true senior status here in Glasgow. I am only taking three classes, one of which being bagpiping (so ridiculously excited for that!). More importantly, I only have class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, giving me a three day weekend and Tuesdays to explore! With all this free time, I have dubbed Tuesdays "Kelly-days." A day to explore the museums, wander through the parks, and find all the little parts of Glasgow off the beaten path. Pretty much a day I have given myself permission to do whatever I want at as slow a pace as I please. (I am notoriously snail-like when it comes to museums).
My first Kelly-day brought me to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Through the trees and fog
It reminds me of a castle!
Welcome!
Elephants, giraffes, and airplanes - all my favorites in one place!
A bunch of rocks...
that glow in the dark! (For those of you who didn't already know, I am a huge nerd!)
The art gallery portion entitled, "Expression."
Enjoying the daily organ concert in the main hall.
The songs included a Sound of Music medley - I may have sung along in my head.
An original Salvador Dali painting that was quite controversial when purchased.
You know you're in Scotland when....
Pretending I am fancy looking at original Monet paintings.
Words can be art too!
Yes, this place is huge!
And then there was Elvis... thank you, thank you very much!
I only made it through about half of the museum and plan to cover the rest of it next Kelly-day! Tuesdays are quickly becoming my favorite day of the week!
