A Lovely Day

Scotland is not known for it's weather. Going from summer in Newport News consisting of beach days, shorts, and flip-flops to wearing sweatshirts, rain jackets, and layers has not always been a pleasant transition. However, when the beautiful days in Glasgow do come about, I have a lot bigger appreciation for sunshine and warmth. Thus, Saturday brought a spontaneous walk to the Botanic Gardens with an ice cream cone in hand.

Everyone out enjoying the sunshine at the Botanic Gardens.

Including multiple weddings with plenty of kilts!

The green houses boast all kinds of environments, from deserts to tropical jungles. The palm house is going to be my favorite place when the real cold weather comes.
It was a delightful way to spend a lazy Saturday. (And it should be noted that warm means 60 degrees, we take what we can get here!)
